No. Creation and channel setup happen in the ChatGPT desktop app or desktop web. After that you can talk to your dot in the ChatGPT mobile app.
Open its profile and the three-dot menu. Pause stops it until you resume. Reset deletes the dot with its conversations, saved memories and scheduled tasks; that is also the only way to delete memories it formed from connected apps.
Yes, optionally. Connect the computer from the ChatGPT desktop app and confirm Allow access. Work on your machine runs as separate tasks, and with local access on the dot can create Work or Codex tasks, use local skills and use your local browser when its cloud browser is blocked. Revoke access from the same place.
It can message you in ChatGPT, Slack and Teams, and text you if you are in the US Pro beta. At launch a dot cannot start a call to you and has no email address of its own, though you can connect your personal email for its tasks.
Your first dot is included with ChatGPT Pro and Business Premium at no extra cost. Enterprise, Edu and Healthcare workspaces get a beta that the admin has to switch on. Free, Go and Plus do not include dots at launch. Pro users in the EEA, Switzerland and the UK are excluded for now; Business Premium works in every supported ChatGPT region.
Conversations with your dot do not count toward ChatGPT usage limits. Deeper background work draws from a plan allowance, with extended limits for the first month after launch. Tasks the dot starts in Codex or ChatGPT Work count toward those limits as usual.
