Conversations with your dot do not count toward ChatGPT usage limits. Deeper background work, the research and building the dot does between conversations, draws from a plan allowance. OpenAI has extended those limits for the first month after launch and has not yet published the steady-state numbers.
Tasks the dot starts in Codex or ChatGPT Work count toward those products' usage as usual. Pro 500 is the only Pro tier with Ultrafast, the premium speed tier for GPT-6 Astra; it does not change whether you get a dot.
OpenAI says you will be able to add more dots later, and to scale each dot by increasing its speed or its total output. Prices for that have not been announced.
No. Dots are only on paid plans at launch: your first dot comes with Pro or Business Premium at no extra cost, and Enterprise workspaces get a beta the admin enables. Free, Go and Plus do not include one.
Pro 500 is the only Pro tier with Ultrafast, OpenAI's premium speed tier for GPT-6 Astra in Codex and ChatGPT Work. Every Pro tier includes the first dot; the price difference is about speed and allowances, not whether you get a dot.
Not yet. OpenAI says you start with one primary dot and that it plans to let you add more, and to scale each dot by speed or total output, as paid options later.
