Dots facts from OpenAI's announcement and help center of September 29, 2026. Muse facts from Meta's announcement and the Muse invite terms, as tracked on the Muse hub. Reviewed September 30, 2026.
Both are agents with their own computer and browser that work across the apps you connect. The difference is the shape of the deal. A dot is a feature of a paid ChatGPT plan, lives where you already chat and work, and is built to hold standing jobs: scheduled checks, background research, several projects at once. Muse is a free standalone app with a token balance, makes phone calls on your behalf, and is at home in WhatsApp, Instagram and Marketplace, but is US-only for now.
On Sundog, workflows are tagged by agent. Most instructions port between the two with small changes to the tools and permissions; each workflow page lists both.
If you already pay for ChatGPT Pro or your company has Business Premium, a dot costs nothing extra and sits inside the tools you use. If you are in the US and want a free agent that makes phone calls and lives in WhatsApp and Instagram, Muse is the one to try. Outside the US, Muse is not available and dots depend on your plan.
Yes. They are separate products from separate companies with separate accounts. Many Sundog workflows can be adapted between them; check the tools and permissions each one lists.
Muse is free with a token balance, and invite codes add 1 billion tokens each. Dots come only with paid ChatGPT plans, though the first dot adds nothing to the price.
Muse is US-only at launch. Dots follow ChatGPT's regions: Business Premium everywhere ChatGPT is supported, Pro everywhere except the EEA, Switzerland and the UK.
